Dr. Soumya Jain B.D.S. (General Dentist) finished her dentistry in 2014 from the esteemed B.V.P.D.C.H in Pune, India. During her time in India, she was driven to participate in spreading oral health awareness. She practiced in rural parts of India alongside working in private practice for a year in Pune, India. Having grown up in Richmond B.C she wanted to return home to practice within her community. She continues her efforts in bringing oral health awareness here in Vancouver by volunteering in a non-profit East Vancouver dental clinic.

Dr. Jain always strives to provide her patients with quality dental work and participates in continuing education courses to ensure she is up to date with the latest trends and techniques. Dr. Jain believes in delivering effective and efficient treatment to all her patients.

She is proficient in Hindi, Gujarati and Punjabi. Dr. Jain enjoys practicing all aspects of dentistry with special interest in Surgery and Cosmetic Dentistry. When Dr. Soumya Jain is not in the clinic, you can find her swimming, at the gym or preparing for her next adventure abroad.

Dr. Ashkan Mehjoo was born in England and moved to North Vancouver at the age of 5, where he grew up and attended Handsworth Secondary School. Thereafter, he moved to Kingston, Ontario to study at Queen’s University completing his Bachelor of Science degree (BSc Hons) graduating with distinction. During his time at Queen’s, Dr. Mehjoo was involved in many extra-curricular committees which sparked his interest in dentistry.

Following this, Dr. Mehjoo moved to Cork, Ireland where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree (Honours) from University College Cork. He was awarded the American Association of Endodontists Award for Excellence in Endodontics. Dr. Mehjoo immersed himself in European culture while simultaneously partaking in oral medicine research under specialists at the university. He was also a member of the school’s Dental Society Committee.

After completing his studies, Dr. Mehjoo moved back to his forever home in Vancouver. He is thrilled to be back and serving his local community! Dr. Mehjoo is passionate about continuing education, maintaining a special interest in endodontics, oral surgery and implants to further his growth in his profession, while simultaneously ensuring patients receive the highest standard of dental care. Their comfort and oral health goals are his number one priority.

In his spare time, Dr. Mehjoo loves to golf, play tennis, watch his favourite sports teams and, explore the great outdoors in beautiful, British Columbia.

Dr. Markus Louie was born and raised in the lower mainland, where he attended the University of British Columbia (UBC) for his undergraduate studies. Dr. Louie has always held an interest in dentistry, which furthered exposure to dental school on campus. Later, he also attended UBC, where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree.

During his time in school, he was able to experience many aspects of dentistry and took a special interest in aesthetic dentistry. There, he was awarded the American College of Prosthodontists Student Prosthodontic Achievement Award for proficiency in prosthodontics.

Dr. Louie is also passionate about keeping up to date with continuing education, oral surgery and patient-centred care. He strives to ensure that every patient feels comfortable in his chair.

On his off days, he enjoys golf, going to the gym, and snowboarding in the winter.
