Dr. Venus Nemati is a general dentist, who graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Shiraz University in 2009. She moved to North America in 2009 and completed her dental degree at the University of Washington in the United States in 2016. She has a strong interest in all aspects of general dentistry including cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign® clear aligners, root canals, crowns, and bridges and implant restorations.

Her goal is to provide the best experience and care possible to all patients while ensuring that they are comfortable while in the chair. For Dr. Nemati, dentistry is more than looking at teeth. It involves interaction and understanding the patient’s needs and then satisfying them. Her unique strength is managing patients that are afraid to see a dentist. She strives to make dentistry as comfortable for her patients as possible, even during root canal treatments. Nothing pleases her more than a patient say that they’d never had such a great experience with a dentist before.

She can easily establish an excellent rapport with patients from various different cultural backgrounds. Her mission is to help people have a beautiful smile! She attends continuing education courses and stays up-to-date with all the latest advances in all facets of dentistry. She is a member of the British Columbia, Canadian, and American Dental Associations, member of American Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

When not performing dentistry, she enjoys playing tennis, hiking, traveling, and most importantly spending time with her family – especially her young daughter.

 

Dr. Ivor Levin delivers the latest in dental knowledge and technology and blends it with old- fashioned compassion and concern.

Dr. Levin graduated from the University of Witwatersrand (South Africa) in 1980 with a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Science (BDS) and received the Ernest Borgwardt prize for the best graduate student in clinical and practical Prosthodontics.

As a foreign graduate, he passed the National Dental Board Exam of Canada in order to license as a dentist here. He teaches at U.B.C. dental clinic, supervising students with their patients. He enjoys working in all areas of dentistry with a strong emphasis on prevention. He also provides care for gum disease, crowns, bridges, dentures, and root canal therapy.

Dr. Levin enjoys spending time with his family, photography and playing racquetball.

​Dr. Siavash Arvan graduated from Tehran University of Medical Science in 2013. He took over his dad’s dental clinic in Tehran, practicing as a general dentist for 6 years.
Dr. Arvan and his wife, who is also a dentist, came to Canada and challenged the NDEB exam. In 2019, he obtained his Canadian license with the College of Dental Surgeons of BC and joined the Canadian Dental Association.

Dr. Arvan enjoys all aspects of dentistry, including aesthetic dentistry and oral surgery, and has completed advanced training for wisdom teeth extractions, implants, and bone reconstruction.

Dr. Arvan receives much gratification by interacting with his patients in a compassionate manner. He takes pride in providing his patients the beautiful smile they deserve.

Dr. Arvan is bilingual and speaks Farsi and English. In his free time, he enjoys doing yoga, and outdoor activities such as hiking, and playing tennis.

Dr. Mah was born and raised in Vancouver. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from NYU College of Dentistry in 2017, after completing his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Cell Biology at UBC. Post-graduating, Dr. Mah worked in Kingston, Ontario for one year. In 2018, he returned to Vancouver to be closer to family and friends, and to serve his home community.

Dr. Mah enjoys all aspects of dentistry, particularly cosmetic restorations, crowns, dental implants, extractions and Invisalign®. His patient-centred approach makes him attentive to every patient’s concerns, needs, and values. Dr. Mah believes that it is important to educate and design treatment plans that the patient is well-informed about through patient education. He is passionate about delivering the best quality of care to his patients, in a comfortable and relaxing environment. Dr. Mah is an avid learner who keeps up with the latest advancements in dentistry by attending continuing education courses, in order to provide the highest level of care to his patients.

During his spare time, he loves spending time with his family and friends. Dr. Mah’s proudest moment is when he became a father. In addition, he enjoys traveling, biking and playing sports like hockey and golf. He is a huge Canucks fan and one of his fondest memories is when he attended a Stanley Cup finals game.

Dr. Karen Tjaya was born in Indonesia, and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. Her desire to become a dentist and help people achieve their dream smile inspired her to pursue her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of British Columbia, following which she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Sydney in Australia.

While in Sydney, Dr. Tjaya provided comprehensive dental care at several major dental hospitals. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, including restorative, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Dr. Tjaya enjoys building genuine, long-term relationships with every patient and takes pride in treating everyone like family. She strives to provide her patients with excellent dental experiences through evidence-based dentistry and, is committed to always staying up-to-date on the latest advancements in dentistry by taking continuing education courses and participating in study clubs.

In her spare time, Dr. Tjaya enjoys hiking, golfing, yoga, and trying new restaurants. She is fluent in both English and Indonesian.
