After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Psychology at the University of Winnipeg, Dr. Battaglia obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine and Bachelor of Science in Dentistry at the University of Manitoba College of Dentistry.
Throughout her dental school career, Dr. Battaglia was the recipient of several awards and scholarships in the fields of restorative dentistry, endodontics, orthodontics, fixed prosthodontics, humanitarianism, and leadership. She also enjoyed volunteering at events such as Tooth Fairy Saturday and the Teddy Bear Picnic, as well as, programs such as CanU and the Biomedical Youth Summer Camp.
In pursuit of further education, Dr. Battaglia was then accepted to the General Practice Residency program at Schulich School of Dentistry, Western University. Throughout this one-year hospital-based internship, Dr. Battaglia was extensively trained in treating medically compromised patients, facial space infections, dental trauma, and extractions.
Caring for others is Dr. Battaglia’s passion. She enjoys providing care to patients of all ages and believes that patient education and positive relationships are key in providing the highest standard of care. She values lifelong learning and is looking forward to expanding her skillset to provide greater comprehensive care. While she has great interest in performing dental surgery, she enjoys restorative dentistry and endodontics.
Outside of dentistry Dr. Battaglia loves the outdoors, whether it’s travelling the world, camping or hiking, she’s always on the go! Other hobbies include cooking and baking, golfing, yoga and spending time with her family and friends.
