Dr. Dorothy Tang graduated with a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science from UBC. During a trip to Melbourne in 2010 to volunteer for the Bushfire Recovery Project, she fell in love with Australia. After completing her undergraduate degree in BC, Dr. Tang returned to a different part of Australia—the tropical city of Cairns, Queensland—where she lived and earned her dentistry degree at James Cook University.
Dr. Tang values building trusting relationships with her patients and creating an environment where they feel comfortable, cared for, and well-informed during their appointments. She enjoys taking the time to get to know her patients so she can address their concerns and develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to their current needs and future goals. Her warm and welcoming personality helps children and anxious patients feel at ease.
Her particular interests include restorative dentistry (Bioclear™ black triangle closure, cosmetic composite bonding, crowns, veneers), orthodontic treatment (Invisalign®), and endodontic treatment (root canal therapy). Dr. Tang is an advocate for minimally invasive dentistry and aims to provide options for conservative dental care whenever possible.
In her free time, Dr. Tang enjoys visiting new restaurants and exploring BC parks with her husband and two young daughters.
